OUR IMAGINARY DESERT: This mother and daughter show celebrates the plants\, animals\, and people of the Southwest desert - but with a playful twist. Cher Townsend's figurative clay sculptures often incorporate found elements discovered by the side of the road. Her roadrunners wear boots\, and her jackrabbits snuggle up to coyotes. Melissa Lakey works in mixed media for her interpretations of a desert where you might catch a glimpse of a coyote floating by or hear a banjo played by a ghost cowboy.
